For founders and the bookkeeper or accountant who closes their month
Month-end papers, without the chasing.
A month in four dates — the 1st, the 5th, the 9th and the deadline — for a business whose month is closed by a bookkeeper or an accountant on the other end of a link. Every step below is filmed in OneManage itself.
- Takes
- About 20 minutes across the month
- You’ll need
- Business, and your accountant’s email
- Uses
- Obligations, Requests, OneAI
- Your deadlines on one calendar, each with who is responsible
- One request a month, listing exactly the papers needed
- A live count of what has come in, and what hasn’t
- The reference and the receipt kept with each deadline
-
1Once
Add your deadlines
In Business → Obligations, choose “New obligation”. Under “What is due?”, name it; under “How often”, choose “Every month” or “Every quarter (3 months)”; then the day of the month and who is responsible, and “Add obligation”.
Each one reminds that person ahead of the date, and shows on your home as it comes close.
Deadlines you might keep Sales tax return · Payroll · Office rent · Insurance renewal
-
21st
Ask for the month’s papers
In Requests, choose “New request”. Under “With”, pick your accountant and choose “We asked them”. Name it under “What is it for?” and set “Needed by” to the 9th.
Write one line per paper under “The items”, choose “Add request”, then “Send”. They get a link by email and need no account.
The items, one per line Sales report — September Supplier invoices — September Bank statement — September
-
32nd–5th
They answer by link
Your accountant opens the link — no account, no password — and sees your note and exactly what you asked for. Each paper goes up against its own line.
On your side, the request counts what has come in as it arrives.
-
45th
Chase what’s missing
The request counts itself: “2 of 3 provided · 2 waiting for review · outstanding: Bank statement — September”.
Ask OneAI to chase. It drafts the email from the request’s own facts — what’s outstanding, and by when — adds a short note, and sends nothing until you apply it.
A note you might add Thank you for the sales report and the invoices — just the bank statement to go.
-
59th
Review what came in
Accept each paper, or send one back with a note they’ll see.
-
6The deadline
File, and keep the proof
Open the deadline and choose “Mark filed…” with the reference. Connected on OneManage, your accountant can mark it from their own workspace instead — your date then reads “Filed by …” and keeps its own copy.
When you connect with your accountant and let them see your dates, your deadlines appear in their own Clients view — no more “did you file it?”.
